Copyediting

Copyediting is next to the last editorial step before a manuscript becomes a professionally readable and publishable novel. I will copyedit your novel using the Chicago Manual of Style guidelines. I will thoroughly and attentively comb through your manuscript, seeking out inconsistencies, typos, and errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, and factual references while adhering to *your* style, tone, and voice. As I work through your manuscript, I will create a style sheet for your project, or I will utilize any style sheet you may already have, and add/change/update it if needed or necessary. You will have the opportunity to review and accept/reject changes. Then, I will fully clean up your manuscript copy, deleting any markups, in-line comments, or track changes/insertions, and return your manuscript to you, error-free.

This service does not include any editing on the storytelling level and no changes or suggestions will be made to your book's plot, structure, or narrative development. If you need help with plot, structure, or storytelling, please choose one of my other editing services.
